2026 Legislative Session

Saving Special Places • Building Better Communities

Florida’s 2026 Regular Legislative Session convenes on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and is scheduled to adjourn on Friday, March 13, 2026. Before the start of Session, legislators will meet for six weeks of Interim Committee Meetings: October 6–10, October 13–17, November 3–7, November 17–21, December 1–5, and December 8–12, 2025. These meetings allow legislators to workshop bills, review agency reports, and prepare for the upcoming Session.

For additional details, visit the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives websites, which provide updated schedules, filed legislation, and committee materials.

Stay tuned for our 2026 Legislative Tracker, coming soon to this page, where we’ll share real-time updates on bills affecting community planning, conservation, and smart growth. This year, our top legislative priority is fixing the damaging provisions of last session’s (2025) Senate Bill 180 to restore local community planning. Learn more through our Restore Community Planning campaign website (button to the right), and review our 2026 Legislative Priorities to see what we’ll be advocating for throughout the Session.
