Each year, 1000 Friends of Florida advocates in the halls of the Florida Legislature against sprawl-inducing legislation and promotes public policy to support sustainable communities.

Priority areas include managing growth, protecting water quality, conserving environmentally sensitive resources including springs and the Everglades, promoting sustainable communities through effective housing, transportation and community design policies, sound governance and other issues related to the livability of Florida’s communities.
