The 2026 Florida Legislative Session officially ended on June 16 with final approval of the state’s budget for the year beginning July 1. This session saw 1,989 proposed pieces of legislation introduced between both houses, with 269 passing through both chambers completely. 1000 Friends of Florida worked with allies and supporters to oppose harmful legislation and support beneficial legislation regarding conservation and community planning.
