The 2023 Sarasota County Legislative Delegation will take place on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at 1:30PM in the Sarasota County Commission Chambers, located at 1660 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34236. Representative James Buchanan, District 74, will serve as Chairman. All materials must be submitted electronically and in Word or PDF format to James.Buchanan@myfloridahouse.gov by Thursday January 5th, 2023 at 5PM. Please be concise with your information and provide handouts sparingly. Discussion of issues regarding local bills and any other proposed legislation for the 2023 Legislative Session will be addressed at this time. All proposals for local bills must be presented at the hearing, be drafted in bill form, and accompanied by a resolution from the local government supporting the proposed legislation. This information must be received by Representative James Buchanan s office by Thursday January 5th, 2023 at 5PM. Following consideration of local bills, the public will be invited to address the delegation on state issues that are of concern.
