How do you define sustainable landscapes and why are they important?  What are some of the next steps for moving local governments and the State forward towards the adoption of sustainable landscape policies and principles?  A panel addresses these and other questions from the industry, academic and landscape architecture perspectives to help lay the foundation for meaningful change.  Presenters include Timothee Sallin, President of Cherrylake, a vertically integrated landscape and irrigation construction and maintenance services firm, and Secretary of the Board of 1000 Friends of Florida; Dr. Pierce Jones, Director of the University of Florida’s Program for Resource Efficient Communities; and landscape architect Chris Hite, PLA, LEED-AP, President of Dix Hite & Partners.
